Sarah graduated from art college in 1990 after 4 years in Carmarthen and London studying illustration and graphic design, and went on to enjoy a varied career which included 10 years in advertising design at 3 newspapers (local and national) and 2 years on national and international magazines as an art editor.
'Sarah Louise Designs' was born in 2001 when a friend with a bridal shop asked Sarah to design and produce a set of placecards for one of her clients. Shortly afterwards a colleague at work asked Sarah to design her wedding invitations and word spread! After exhibiting at local wedding fayres Sarah became inundated with orders and decided in 2004 she had to give the business her full attention and became self-employed.
Since 2001 Sarah has designed and produced a huge range of stationery for clients at home and abroad, from London to Langkawi, Swansea to South Africa and Cumbria to Cyprus - to name a few! Always a perfectionist, Sarah is passionate about all forms of design and believes her background is key to producing unique handcrafted stationery.
"Our range offers a wide choice of traditional and modern stationery. I always enjoy the challenge to design for the more unusual themes too. I produced 'The King' as a bespoke design for a Las Vegas wedding and have received many orders from Elvis fans following its launch. 'Siren' is a recent addition for 2008, another iconic portrait that works well in black and white on the shimmering glitter card. 'Broadway' is a real Art Deco style invitation with clean lines and cinematic styling. For the more traditional wedding, we offer a wide range of floral designs such as 'Simplicity', 'Sonnet' and 'Pure White' as well as classic ribbon and bow designs, such as 'Satin' and 'Gem'. Among our modern designs are 'Meant to Be' which features interlocking heart shape photographs of the happy couple, 'Petal' a fabric petal flower with a diamante centre and 'Chiffon', a padded fabric design featuring hand painted dots."
